Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC seeks a Process Controls Engineer for its Neenah Technical Center R&D team. You will partner with engineering, maintenance, and operations to support pilot plant equipment and ensure weekday daytime operations.

Typical duties include leading projects, programming control systems, and maintaining electrical documentation. The role emphasizes DCS/PLC programming, instrument supervision, and collaboration across papermaking, converting, and facilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical field.
3+ years of experience in process controls, automation, or industrial systems.
Experience with DCS and PLC programming, HMI development, and industrial networks.
Experience with instrumentation, process control principles, and manufacturing systems.
Troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving in a manufacturing environment.
AutoCAD experience.

Responsibilities

Lead projects, troubleshoot equipment, and tune loops in DCS/PLC environments.
Create and maintain electrical documentation using AutoCAD and Vault.
Support R&D pilot plant activities across papermaking, converting, and facilities.
Assist with instrumentation inspection, calibration, testing, and spare parts inventory.
