Job summary

Confidential Global Paper & Packaging Manufacturer in a large SC facility seeks a Process Controls Engineer to lead automation strategy and drive improvements across DCS, PLC, instrumentation, and plant-wide control systems.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in ABB 800xA and Honeywell TDC 3000, plus hands-on experience with various PLC platforms and HMI development. Join a world-class linerboard operation focused on reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering required.
5+ years of related engineering experience.
Minimum of 2 years in a process manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement automation control strategies to improve quality and reduce downtime.
Configure, monitor, and optimize process control systems.
Develop and maintain HMI applications.
Create and maintain system documentation.
Provide technical support to maintenance and operations teams.
Assist in directing maintenance and project personnel during upgrades.
Participate in automation projects from design through startup.
