Job summary

Packaging Corporation in Valdosta, GA is seeking a Process Control Engineer to coordinate planning, programming, and maintenance of all mill PLC, Distributed Control, and Quality Control Systems.

The engineer will lead a group of hourly union journeyman technicians, support outages, and drive capital projects and preventive maintenance programs to improve reliability of control systems across the mill. Strong knowledge of MS Project and AutoCAD, plus Excel-based reporting, is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years in Electrical or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience with Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Project, AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction to hourly maintenance personnel.
• Support outages and annual outage jobs for process control systems.
• Manage planning and capital projects for maintenance replacements.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs to improve reliability.
• Supervise programming of mill control systems for daily activities and projects.
