G-3 Chickadee in Houston, TX is seeking a Process Control Technician to ensure the safety, reliability, and effectiveness of the DCS and PLC systems. The role focuses on hardware and software upgrades, advanced control strategies, and instrument interfaces to support modernized operations.
The position works with safety, environmental, process safety, and quality teams to maintain safe, compliant, and efficient operations while driving continuous improvement through troubleshooting and tuning
Formación
- 5+ years of progressive instrumentation or electrical technician experience in Petrochemical/Specialty Chemical industries.
- 5+ years of operating DCS and PLC systems or 2+ years in Process Control.
Responsabilidades
- Provide reliable DCS and PLC systems and implement control strategies to protect process health and personnel.
- Track Alarm Management Protocols and ensure compliance.
- Support data historian (Aspen IP21) for troubleshooting and environmental control device monitoring.
- Interface with multiple disciplines to drive production efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Develop specifications for field instruments, control systems I/O and architecture.
- Lead long-term upgrades of obsolete control systems and budgeting.
- Monitor and maintain network systems and data historian.
