Job summary

SAWS is seeking a Control Systems Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate and repair process control systems. Under supervision of the instrumentation and controls group, you will complete assigned tasks and participate in safety training.

You will work as part of the instrument and controls team to support SAWS' mission. The role requires experience with PLCs, chemical analysis systems, RF communications, and calibration equipment; willingness to work shifts.

Qualifications

• Maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate and repair process control systems.
• Operate PLCs and analyzers; support sensors and RF equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Coordinate with team and senior technicians on complex tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, troubleshoots, and navigates PLCs for automation systems.
• Maintains and troubleshoots chemical analysis systems, hazardous chemical distribution, and detection systems.
• Maintains and troubleshoots fluoride, chlorine, and PH analytical equipment.
• Maintains and troubleshoots RF radio communication equipment.
• Demonstrates technical aptitude with low voltage circuits.
• Assists Senior Control Systems Technicians with data and inventory of field equipment.
• Assists and supports Senior Control Systems Technicians with internal and external projects, installation of PLC's, analyzers, flow meters, RF radios, and other process equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
