Job summary

San Antonio Water System is seeking a Control Systems Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair process control systems under the supervision of the instrumentation and controls group. The role supports SAWS’ mission and safety standards.

You will work on PLCs, chemical analysis systems, RF radios, and analytical equipment, coordinating with the team on projects and daily tasks, with potential shifts and outside work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1 year experience OR an Associate’s Degree in Industrial Process Instrumentation OR CCST.
• Ability to report to work on time and maintain good attendance.
• Valid Class C Texas Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot PLCs for automation systems.
• Maintain chemical analysis, hazardous chemical distribution, and detection systems.
• Maintain fluoride, chlorine, and pH analytical equipment.
• Maintain RF communication equipment.
• Assist Senior Control Systems Technicians with data and inventory of field equipment.
• Assist and support Senior Technicians with projects and installations.
