Cleveland-Cliffs East Chicago is seeking a Process Control Engineering Intern to support software development across languages and hardware platforms, maintain automation systems, and assist with process modeling for mill operations.

You will work with vision systems, RFID/barcode tagging, X-ray gauges, networking, and databases, collaborating with production and R&D to improve reliability and efficiency while gaining industry experience.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in BS program in Computer/Software/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Sophomore year completed by Summer 2027.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Software development across languages and hardware platforms for automation projects.
• Maintenance of computer hardware and software within automation systems.
• Troubleshoot and solve issues affecting production or system reliability.
