Job summary

Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Process Control Engineer for the Timberstrand facility in Monticello, AR. The role focuses on setting up and maintaining automation across manufacturing processes and leading site projects with a strong emphasis on safety and clear communication.

You will apply best practices, develop control strategies, mentor engineers, and collaborate with leadership to drive process improvements and cost reductions.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, Computer or Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in applying and supporting process control solutions in manufacturing.
• Advanced knowledge of PLC and HMI systems with ability to program and configure complex automation strategies.
• Experience in leading cross-functional projects with site and corporate engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing wood products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and support application of process and process control best practices.
• Collaborate with mill leadership to develop mid- and long-term process control network strategies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, variability reduction, and cost reduction.
• Provide project and technical leadership for process control technology applications and PLC technicians.
• Mentor and develop other process control engineers and technicians.
