Job summary

Phillips 66 is seeking an Engineer, Process Control to configure, optimize, and maintain refinery control systems. You’ll work with operations, maintenance, and project teams to improve monitoring, control logic, and plant performance, building hands-on experience with advanced process control tools.

You will contribute to MOC/PHAs and alarm management, ensure documentation accuracy in SAP, and support capital or turnaround projects while driving reliability and safety across the Wood River

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1+ year experience as process/automation/controls engineer or similar in refining/manufacturing/oil and gas.
• Willing to travel up to 5% and work extended hours, including evenings/weekends.
• Must have valid driver’s license and ability to work safely around hazardous environments.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and optimize refinery process control systems (DCS/PLCs) to meet safety and production goals.
• Provide process control engineering support to troubleshoot control and instrumentation issues.
• Support design, testing, and upgrades of control hardware/software for modernization and projects.
• Analyze process/control data to identify issues and implement improvements.
• Develop and maintain control narratives and documentation (e.g., SAP records).
