Job summary

Phillips 66 is seeking an Advanced Process Control & Automation Sr Engineer II in Houston, responsible for identifying and executing APC applications across gas processing facilities. You will strengthen the APC Network and train site operators on Advanced Control and Optimization tools.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 10+ years in automation, and hands-on experience with DCS/PLC interfaces and APC tools. Travel up to 30% and safety-conscious work practices are expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
10+ years of relevant experience in automation, process control, or related technical field.
Proficiency designing, implementing, maintaining, or troubleshooting automation solutions.

Responsibilities

Partner with process engineering and site operations teams to identify, prioritize, develop, and execute advanced process control applications across gas processing facilities.
Support day-to-day APC application maintenance, troubleshoot interfaces with base process control systems, and maintain strong utilization.
Provide consulting and training to operations and engineering teams to ensure effective use of advanced control and optimization applications.
Develop and apply best practice standards for APC, multiunit optimization, and related process control improvements.
Translate needs into road maps, reusable approaches, and prioritized project work.
Design, configure, test, implement, and optimize control strategies using DCS and PLC platforms.
