Avtec Finishing in New Hope, Minnesota seeks a Chemical Maintenance Technician to maintain production chemistry, filtration systems, and related equipment. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years in manufacturing, industrial chemicals, process chemistry, wastewater treatment, or related industrial environment.
• Strong math and measurement skills.
• Ability to follow chemical formulas, procedures, and detailed work instructions.
• Ability to troubleshoot chemical process and equipment concerns.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
• U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production chemistry and chemical filtration systems.
• Perform batch treatments and tank change-outs.
• Monitor chemical systems and identify conditions affecting production or quality.
• Maintain records, logs, and inventories.
• Follow safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Cross-train in hazardous waste and wastewater operations.
• Provide department coverage as needed.
• Assist with troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities.
