Job summary

Avtec Finishing in New Hope, MN is seeking a Chemical Maintenance Technician to maintain production chemistry, filtration systems, and support processes across our metal finishing operation. This is a technical role critical to product quality, production efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance.

You will work with the Chemical Lab Manager and production teams to keep chemical processes within specification, perform chemical additions, inventories, and maintain equipment while following

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED and basic math/measurement skills.
• Ability to follow chemical formulas, written procedures, and detailed work instructions.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial chemicals, wastewater treatment, or related environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production chemistry and chemical filtration systems.
• Perform batch treatments and tank changes.
• Receive, store, label, and handle incoming chemicals.
• Maintain chemical maintenance equipment and logs.
• Follow safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Cross-train in hazardous waste and wastewater operations.
