Job summary

Obsidian seeks chemists to join a panel testing frontier AI models by red-teaming prompts across benign, dual-use, and adversarial categories. You will develop challenging single-turn prompts and assess model outputs for safety alignment, using your hands-on route chemistry background to distinguish routine questions from risky inquiries.

This is writing-intensive work: every judgment requires a clear rationale accessible to non-specialists.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate route design and process chemistry experience.
• Experience with scale-up from bench to pilot to plant.
• Familiarity with regulatory chemistry and GMP environments.
• Strong technical writing and reporting skills required.

Responsibilities

• Write challenging prompts and label them across three levels: benign, dual-use, and adversarial.
• Evaluate the responses against a defined policy standard and judge correctness.
• Write the reference answer and the technical reasoning for it.
