Job summary

Northern Engraving Corporation in Wisconsin is seeking a Process Chemist to support plant personnel in improving or troubleshooting processes and potentially join the new process development team. The role involves working with plant staff to identify root causes, modifying processes, and documenting best practices.

You will train personnel on best practices and assist with water quality and wastewater issues while supporting the development team.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma and continuous improvement.

Overall Purpose of PositionThe Process Chemist is responsible for supporting plant personnel to help improve or troubleshoot current processes. This position may also be assigned to be part of the new process development team.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesWorks with plant personnel to find root cause of issues and help find solutions.Modifies processes as needed and documents "best practices".Trains applicable personnel on "best practices".Supports environmental and plant personnel with regards to water quality and waste water issues.Provides support to "new process" development team.Skills and QualificationsGood interpersonal and communication skills.Strong organizational skills.Continuous Improvement skills such as lean, six sigma..Effective problem solving skills.Ability to use Microsoft Computer programs (word, excel and email).
