Job summary
Siemens invites engineering students to join the Digital Industries Automation Internship Program - Process Automation Engineering Track, based in Harleysville, PA. This 12-week summer internship introduces automation technologies used in process industries and develops knowledge in process control, instrumentation, and software adaptability while enhancing project execution and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a STEM field as listed above.
Responsibilities
- Learn how distributed control systems (DCS), MES, industrial networking, HMI, and SCADA are used in real customer environments.
- Work with Process Automation engineers on supervised activities supporting design and implementation of industrial automation systems.
- Review requirements, P&IDs, control strategies, and technical documents to understand customer needs.
- Assist with system setup, pre-test prep, and Factory Acceptance Testing activities and demos.
- Create and refine test records, work instructions, and technical documents from subject-matter experts.
- Shadow proposal development, customer visits, and project execution activities including calculations and documentation.
