Job summary

Emerson's Process Systems and Solutions organization is seeking a Process Automation Engineer Intern to gain hands-on experience in plant automation. The role supports projects across multiple industries and is based in Houston, TX, Blue Bell, PA, or St. Louis, MO.

You will work with DeltaV tools, HMIs, and project databases, while assisting with heat/power calculations, networking, and virtualization infrastructure. This internship emphasizes hands-on learning and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Chemical/Computer/Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• Proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access).
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Participate in control systems modernization and greenfield projects using the latest automation technology.
• Assist with development, update, and quality checks of project deliverables (network diagrams, instrumentation databases, cabinet drawings, software configurations, and HMI displays).
• Support hardware and software testing according to project specifications.
