Job summary

Emerson is seeking an Entry Process Automation Systems Engineer to develop and implement automation projects using DeltaV. The role is based in Houston, TX, with work across Blue Bell, PA, Durham, NC, or St. Louis, MO offices.

You will collaborate with experienced engineers on control systems projects, supporting field surveys, installations, checkouts, and startups to enhance plant safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must be an upcoming college graduate on or before June 2027 with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• Must be comfortable in plant sites, and possess the ability to navigate staircases, ladders, scaffolding, and catwalks.
• Must be willing to travel to end user locations and up to 25-50% of the year.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Work in collaborative, problem solving teams responsible for control systems projects involving the latest technology available in automation, digital control and safety systems.
• Assist with development, update, and quality check of project deliverables such as network diagrams, databases, cabinet drawings, and UI displays for DCS/SIS/PLC systems.
• Participate in field surveys and installations, checkouts, and startups at customer sites to improve plant safety and efficiency.
