Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Process Automation Engineer Intern to support control systems projects across industries in Houston, TX, Blue Bell, PA, or St. Louis, MO. The role offers hands-on exposure to DeltaV engineering tools, HMI applications, and project execution.

You will assist with heat and power calculations, networking maintenance, virtualization infrastructure, and project databases while gaining experience in plant automation and industrial control systems.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Chemical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access).
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; no sponsorship provided.

Responsibilities

• Participate in control systems modernization and greenfield projects.
• Assist with development, update and quality check of project deliverables (diagrams, databases, drawings, software configurations).
• Support hardware and software testing per project specifications.
