Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan in Morenci, Arizona, is seeking a Process Automation Engineer II to direct and improve site Industrial Control Systems. You will promote safety, support cybersecurity, and ensure Process Automation standards are met across engineering projects.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's in Engineering with 3 years of related experience (or a Master’s with 2 years), and have expertise in PLC/HMI/SCADA/DCS, instrumentation, and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline and three (3) years related experience in engineering relevant to Process Automation
• Master’s degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline and two (2) years related experience in engineering relevant to Process Automation

Responsibilities

• Direct and improve the performance of site Industrial Control Systems (ICS).
• Promote safety and environmental programs and communicate safety implications related to Process Automation.
• Support ICS cybersecurity practices and policies and verify project work meets Process Automation standards.
• Maintain ICS hardware/software performance and participate in process automation optimization projects.
