Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan seeks a Process Automation Engineer II to lead controls engineering for our Henderson mine and mill. You will direct automation projects, establish standards, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include maintaining IC hardware/software, pursuing optimization through automation, and supporting cybersecurity, historian systems, and lifecycle planning for equipment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline with 3 years of related experience in Process Automation.
Master’s degree in an engineering discipline with 2 years of related experience in Process Automation.

Responsibilities

Lead and direct Process Automation engineering topics, develop proposals and designs, and ensure work meets IA Process Automation standards.
Maintain IC hardware/software, drive process improvements via automation, support control networks, cybersecurity, and life-cycle management.
