Job summary
Freeport‑McMoRan is seeking an Process Automation Engineering Specialist II at our El Paso plant to lead and improve the site Industrial Control Systems. You will collaborate to promote safety, environmental practices, and robust cybersecurity provisions for ICS and PCN infrastructure.
The role requires engineering experience with process automation and provides opportunities to develop proposals, designs, and lifecycle management while maintaining plant performance and historian systems.
Qualifications
- High school diploma and 7+ years of engineering experience in Process Automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline with 3+ years of engineering experience in Process Automation.
- Master’s degree in a scientific discipline with 2+ years of engineering experience in Process Automation.
Responsibilities
- Direct and improve performance of site Industrial Control Systems.
- Promote Freeport‑McMoRan safety and environmental programs and practices, and address ICS cybersecurity implications.
- Provide direction on Process Automation engineering topics and projects.
