Job summary

Kemira is seeking a Process Engineer, Automation for the Marietta, GA facility. You will own and manage the Distributed Control Systems, lead automation projects, and coordinate with site engineering, technicians, and external contractors to improve process control across the plant.

You will design control strategies, upgrade plans, and cyber-security measures while supporting day‑to‑day operations to meet business goals.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS in Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or related).
• Siemens PCS-7 experience is required.
• 3–5 years in process automation or manufacturing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage Distributed Control Systems for the Marietta site (Siemens PCS7, PCS7 Batch, AVEVA/OSI PI).
• Develop and sustain process automation assets, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
• Act as Process Automation Owner for site automation improvements.
• Lead automation resources (engineers, technicians, contractors) and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Drive continuous improvement through alarm management and SIS monitoring.
