Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Process / Automation Engineer to support startup, commissioning, qualification, and production operations within a highly automated device assembly and packaging environment. This hybrid role sits at the intersection of process engineering and automation engineering, requiring strong troubleshooting skills and collaboration with manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Chemical, or related field) required.
• Experience supporting manufacturing equipment or industrial automation systems required.
• PLC programming experience (Rockwell preferred) required.
• Experience working cross-functionally with operations and maintenance teams required.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment required.

Responsibilities

• Support startup, commissioning, qualification, and production operations within a highly automated device assembly and packaging environment.
• Work directly with manufacturing teams to solve complex operational challenges and ensure equipment readiness.
• Ensure process reliability and automation performance to enable scalable production.

Must-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Chemical, or related field)
• Experience supporting manufacturing equipment or industrial automation systems
• PLC programming (Rockwell preferred)
• Experience working cross-functionally with operations and maintenance teams

Day to Day:

• Our largest pharmaceutical client is seeking a Process / Automation Engineer to support startup, commissioning, qualification, and production operations within a highly automated device assembly and packaging environment. This is a hybrid role that sits at the intersection of process engineering and automation engineering, requiring strong troubleshooting skills, technical curiosity, and the ability to work directly with manufacturing teams to solve complex operational challenges. This engineer will support packaging operations and play a key role in ensuring equipment readiness, process reliability, automation performance, and successful production execution as the area continues to scale.

Compensation:

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
