Responsibilities
- Solve problems in the manufacturing process related to different materials.
- Use laboratory equipment for root cause analysis and validate new and existing products to industry standards.
- Test products and ensure compliance with legal and quality standards.
- Advise on materials procurement and recommend energy-efficient options.
- Assist engineers and scientists in creating, modifying, and testing products and processes.
- Conduct research and development during product creation.
- Inspect products and processes for flaws and areas of improvement.
- Conduct tests, collect data, and analyze results.
- Assess equipment and processes, and recommend improvements.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Train personnel on equipment usage and processes.
- Create and conduct experiments, process and analyze results.
- Collaborate with industry specialists to develop new techniques.
- Present ongoing work and findings.
Qualifications
- Work under general supervision, handle moderately complex issues.
- Solid knowledge of subject matter; mechanical inclination with some college chemistry.
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Teams).
- Ability to perform experiments and communicate results clearly.
- Ability to analyze test results using 6 sigma tools.
- Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Support both development and manufacturing processes.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 3-5 years relevant experience, or laboratory technician with 10 years experience.
- Industry experience in credit card or ID cards is a plus.
