Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Procedure Support Tech I to support perioperative teams and help maintain a safe, efficient operating room environment. The role includes performing self-directed tasks under RN supervision and assisting with maintaining an orderly procedural area.

You will assist with case cart preparation, inventorying, cleaning and transporting patients as needed, contributing to a respectful, professional patient care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

The Procedure Support Tech I performs patient and non-patient functions under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse. This job is responsible for performing a range of self-directed support activities that contribute to the overall efficiency of the perioperative area(s). Work involves inventorying, disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, maintaining operating room equipment, positioning patients, and patient preparation for procedure. If needed assists with case cart preparation. Assists in maintaining a clean, sanitary, orderly procedural environment, and transports patients as required. To function as an integral member of the operating room team and contribute to maintaining a safe, professional, respectful and effective patient care environment.
