Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Procedure Support Tech I to perform a range of self-directed support activities in the perioperative area, including equipment maintenance, patient positioning, and procedure preparation. The role requires a GED or high school diploma and a BCLS certification on hire, with duties spanning inventory, cleaning, case cart preparation, and patient transport as needed to

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• BCLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Inventorying, disassembling, cleaning and reassembling operating room equipment as needed.
• Positioning patients and preparing for procedures.
• Assist with case cart preparation when required.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary and orderly procedural environment and transport patients as needed.
• Work as an integral member of the OR team to ensure a safe, professional and respectful patient care environment.

Responsibilities:

The Procedure Support Tech I performs patient and non-patient functions under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse. This job is responsible for performing a range of self-directed support activities that contribute to the overall efficiency of the perioperative area(s). Work involves inventorying, disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, maintaining operating room equipment, positioning patients, and patient preparation for procedure. If needed assists with case cart preparation. Assists in maintaining a clean, sanitary, orderly procedural environment, and transports patients as required. To function as an integral member of the operating room team and contribute to maintaining a safe, professional, respectful and effective patient care environment.

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
