Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Procedure Support Tech I to assist the perioperative team under the supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse. Qualifications

• Education: H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Licenses/Certifications: BCLS Basic Life Support certification upon hire required.

Responsibilities

• The Procedure Support Tech I performs patient and non-patient functions under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse.
• This role inventories, disassembles, cleans, reassembles, maintains operating room equipment, positions patients, and prepares for procedures; assists with case cart preparation.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary, orderly procedural environment and transports patients as required.
• Acts as an integral member of the operating room team to contribute to a safe and effective patient care environment.

Responsibilities

The Procedure Support Tech I performs patient and non-patient functions under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse. This job is responsible for performing a range of self-directed support activities that contribute to the overall efficiency of the perioperative area(s). Work involves inventorying, disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, maintaining operating room equipment, positioning patients, and patient preparation for procedure. If needed assists with case cart preparation. Assists in maintaining a clean, sanitary, orderly procedural environment, and transports patients as required. To function as an integral member of the operating room team and contribute to maintaining a safe, professional, respectful and effective patient care environment.
