Job summary

Southeast Health in Dothan, AL seeks a Part-time Float Pool RN II to cover shifts across Critical Care, Medical-Surgical, Behavioral Health, Emergency Services. You will apply the nursing process, develop and revise an individualized plan of care, and support standards of practice in multiple units.

Required are an Alabama RN license, ACLS and PALS certifications, and relevant experience. Per diem, day shift, and teamwork are emphasized to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and Alabama RN licensure.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• Experience in Medical-Surgical, Critical Care, ED or Behavioral Health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observes patient’s behavior for changes and intervenes appropriately; communicates changes to staff.
• Assists the physician with procedures in behavioral health and other units as needed.
• Documents accurate information on all records and uses EMR correctly.
• Collaborates with the health care team in care planning and discharge planning.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and follows infection prevention policies.
• Maintains competency with exams, equipment, and rising patient care needs.
