Job summary

UNC Health Care seeks a Procedural Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver patient care in settings such as the Cath Lab or interventional radiology. The role may involve moderate sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, pacing, cardioversion/defibrillation, and medication administration per physician guidance.

The RN will work with the care team to ensure safe, effective care and discharge planning, maintaining professional standards and patient-family communication throughout the care process.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in NC or a compact state.
• Two years of experience in an acute care RN role.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Administers patient care under physician supervision and collaborates with the care team to achieve patient outcomes.
• Performs range of clinical tasks including moderate sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, pacing, cardioversion/defibrillation, and medication administration.
• Provides nursing care following professional standards and organizational policies.
• Organizes and prioritizes care, consults resources for complex cases, and plans discharge needs.
• Communicates with patients and families to update the plan of care with cultural sensitivity.
• Contributes to clinical and operational excellence through education and teamwork.
• Promotes a safe, clean hospital environment with standard infection control precautions.
