Job summary

The Cath Lab Registered Nurse at Community Health Systems provides patient-centered care during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. This cross-functional role rotates through pre-procedure prep, intra-procedural nursing, and post-procedure recovery, with on-call coverage for emergencies.

Collaborating with physicians and the care team, the RN administers medications, monitors status, and supports safe, effective patient care.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care in accordance with nursing process and policies.
• Administers medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures and monitors vital signs and equipment.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans with the team.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in CPR and code team activities.
