Job Description Summary:
- Cath Lab Specific: The Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Interventional Cardiologist for diagnostic and interventional procedures, including roles such as scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating. Knowledge of X-ray equipment, hemodynamic monitoring, coronary and peripheral anatomy, and sterile technique is required.
- Arrhythmia (EP) Specific: The EP Radiologic Technologist assists the Electrophysiologist in non-invasive and invasive procedures, requiring knowledge of X-ray equipment, arrhythmia monitoring, cardiac structures, and sterile technique.
- Vascular Interventional (VIR) Specific: The VIR Radiologic Technologist supports minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures, with knowledge of fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound, and related imaging equipment.
- Neuro Interventional Specific: The Neuro Interventional Radiologic Technologist assists in diagnostic and interventional procedures, requiring knowledge of X-ray equipment, hemodynamic monitoring, cerebral angiograms, stroke interventions, and sterile technique.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- 85% - Competent assistance to interventionalists in their specific areas.
- 10% - Greeting patients, verifying data, explaining procedures, and assisting with room turnover and patient transport.
- 5% - Assisting Radiation Safety officer with QA, radiation protection, and record keeping.
Minimum Qualifications:
- ARRT certification
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- State of Ohio licensure in the field
Additional Details:
$15,000 SIGN-ON BONUS: Eligible for external and certain re-employed applicants with a one-year commitment.
Position: Full-time, day shift at Pickerington Methodist Hospital, with training opportunities for newly licensed technologists.
Specialized Knowledge:
Ohio Radiologic Licensure, ARRT registration.
