Trinity Health Of New England is seeking an experienced Medical Technologist for our Infusion Center in Enfield, CT, and our Rapid Response Lab at Johnson Memorial Hospital.

Our mission is to provide state-of-the-art healthcare to our local communities, creating a positive impact for each individual. This role involves performing highly skilled analysis of blood, fluids, and tissue samples.

Responsibilities:

• Work alternately between the Infusion Center in Enfield and the Rapid Response Lab at Johnson Memorial Hospital.
• Conduct chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluids, and gastric juices to determine normal and abnormal components.
• Analyze blood cells by counting and identifying them using microscopic techniques.
• Ensure proper operation of analyzers and laboratory equipment through calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and inventory management. Evaluate new equipment and techniques as needed.

Position Hours:

• 40 hours per week, Day Shifts, with occasional weekends and rotating holidays.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology from an accredited college/university and successful completion of a NAACLS-accredited MT program or MLT certification program.
• MT-ASCP or equivalent certification by a recognized professional society, or eligibility to take the certification exam within the first year of employment.
• Hematology experience is required; experience in a Cancer Center is highly preferred.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
