Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with pharmacy operations, clinical support, reimbursement, fulfillment, and logistics teams to support timely and accurate progression of specialty pharmacy cases.
  • Review referrals, clinical documentation, payer requirements, and case information to resolve routine to complex issues and support accurate processing.
  • Analyze case details, operational data, and documentation to identify discrepancies, determine required next steps, and reduce repeat errors.
  • Complete and maintain clear, accurate, and audit-ready documentation in accordance with specialty pharmacy procedures, privacy requirements, and quality standards.
  • Apply established guidelines and sound judgment to resolve non-routine issues, and escalate high-risk, urgent, or exception-based cases with supporting context.
  • Contribute to updates of job aids, templates, and workflow checklists to improve consistency, accuracy, and adherence to established procedures.
  • Provide day-to-day procedural guidance to less-experienced team members and help reinforce standard work across assigned activities.

Job Details

The Procedural Pharmacist Delivers complex specialty pharmacy operational workstreams independently, balancing scope, quality, compliance, and service expectations with minimal guidance. Refines pharmacy workflows, controls, and documentation practices to improve throughput, accuracy, and operational consistency across pharmacy support activities. Facilitates cross-functional coordination, secures required inputs, and resolves operational dependencies to maintain reliable execution and compliant handoffs. Validates operational outputs, analyzes recurring issues, and applies structured process improvements that strengthen traceability, audit readiness, and sustainable performance.

Additional Job Description
  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • 4+ years of experience in professional individualcontributor role aligned to pharmacy support and operations, or a related field required.
  • Certification in relevant professional licensure, process improvement credentials such as Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent preferred.
