Job summary

Cencora in Tennessee is seeking a capable Pharmacy Operations Associate to support routine and moderately complex pharmacy workflows. You will coordinate tasks, track progress, update records, prepare documentation, and aid timely handoffs between teams to maintain accurate, compliant day-to-day execution.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
  • Associate's degree in pharmacy, health sciences, healthcare administration, business, operations management, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in pharmacy purchasing, inventory control, healthcare supply chain, pharmacy operations, or related field required.
  • Certification in pharmacy technician support, pharmacy operations support, or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate routine and moderately complex pharmacy support and operational activities by organizing work, monitoring progress, and helping maintain timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Tracks transactions, records, documentation, and open items across workflows to support accurate processing and effective handoffs between teams.
  • Reviews submitted information and supporting materials for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with standard process requirements before routing or updating work items.
  • Prepares, updates, and maintains system entries, trackers, case notes, and operational documentation to support accurate and audit-ready records.
  • Communicates with internal partners and approved external contacts to confirm requirements, obtain missing information, and support resolution of routine and moderately varied issues.
  • Identifies delays, discrepancies, missing information, and defined exceptions, and documents them clearly for follow-up, correction, or escalation.

Education

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
Associate's degree in pharmacy, health sciences, healthcare administration, business, operations management, or related field
3+ years of experience in pharmacy purchasing, inventory control, healthcare supply chain, pharmacy operations, or related field
Certification in pharmacy technician support, pharmacy operations support, or equivalent

Maintains organized, audit-ready records and supports consistent service delivery by following quality, privacy, and process requirements.
