Cencora is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support Ambulatory Pharmacy operations, delivering patient profiles, insurance interactions, and medication preparation to ensure accurate processing and reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Create a patient profile in the pharmacy information system.
• Enter necessary prescription plan information in the patient profile for processing and adjudicating prescriptions.
• Enter all new patient prescription information into the pharmacy information system.
• Address insurance, reimbursement, and payment issues by communicating with insurance providers, patients and pharmacists.
• Contributes to achieving business goals and metrics for the Ambulatory Pharmacy.
• Retrieve and prepare the medication for pharmacist review and verification.
• Prepare inventory reports for pharmacist review to purchase.
• Submit, receive, and place inventory in stock.
• Answer inbound telephone calls and triage to appropriate staff.
• Assist with adjudicated prescription claims to ensure appropriateness of reimbursement and follow up on claims deemed inappropriate.
• Assist Pharmacist with information for therapeutic consults with patients.
• Intervene with Pharmacy Benefit Manager Companies to resolve plan and patient adjudication issues.
• Supply and monitor ambulatory dispensing robotic technology and deliver medications and supplies to patients.

• Assists Pharmacist by providing required information for therapeutic consults with patients.
• Intervenes with Pharmacy Benefit Manager Companies to resolve plan and patient specific adjudication issues.
• Supply and monitor ambulatory dispensing robotic technology.
  Actively participates by delivering medications and pharmaceutical supplies to patients as outlined by the concierge prescription program.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

Education:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
• 2+ years of experience in support, warehouse, logistics, or pharmacy operations, or a related field required.
• Certification in pharmacy technician licensure or credentialing, or equivalent preferred.
