Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an RN Procedural Acute Dialysis nurse to provide specialized dialysis care to hospitalized patients in a collaborative, supportive environment. Work with nephrologists and multidisciplinary teams dedicated to exceptional patient outcomes.

This is a full-time day position with (3) 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The unit is an 11-bed inpatient dialysis department that serves acute and critically ill patients, with comprehensive training and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Texas RN license or Compact RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• Dialysis experience preferred but not required.
• Critical or acute care preferred.
• New to dialysis? Training is available for motivated nurses eager to learn this specialty.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and prioritize their needs; create and adjust care plans.
• Assess nursing practices; participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Educate patients and staff and integrate teaching into care.
• Apply systems thinking to solve problems for patients, families, and staff.
• Maintain professionalism and contribute to the nursing team and environment.
