Job summary

State of Florida in Tallahassee, FL seeks a SES-level Correctional Services Manager to oversee the Violation of Probation Processing Unit at the Central Office. The role focuses on directing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with Department standards.

The position requires five years of experience in a relevant corrections role or as a supervisor, along with strong policy development and reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience analyzing and auditing sentence structure, including split sentences, and/or processing court orders to amend sentences, or five (5) years of supervisory SES experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the daily operations of the Violation of Probation Processing Unit, setting goals, developing policies, and ensuring work meets Department standards.
• Supervise staff by communicating expectations, providing training, evaluating performance, and making decisions about hiring, transfers, and discipline.
• Work with Department leaders and legal staff to plan and coordinate unit activities on complex probation-related issues.
• Develop and implement policies affecting statewide operations; monitor case accuracy and compliance; respond to inquiries from criminal justice agencies.
• Analyze workloads, recommend efficiency improvements, maintain statistics, and provide regular status reports to leadership.
