Job summary

The State of Florida is recruiting for a CORRECTIONAL PROBATION SUPERVISOR in the Department of Corrections. The role directs and oversees correctional probation officers and senior officers, ensuring compliance with statutes and department procedures, and may supervise a small office in addition to field operations.

Responsibilities include reviewing investigations, managing workloads, and mentoring staff while maintaining liaison with judiciary, law enforcement, and other agencies.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise correctional probation officers and senior officers.
• Monitor daily activities to ensure investigative and supervision services.
• Supervise day-to-day operation of a small office when needed.
• Communicate with and motivate staff; plan and direct work; hire, transfer, promote, or discipline.
• Review/approve investigations, reports, and court-related entries for quality and accuracy.
• Distribute workloads and ensure equitable supervision; assign cases.
• Review compliance with field supervision standards; conduct case reviews.
• Supervise policy implementation and staff training; manage leave requests.
