Job summary

The State of Florida seeks a Correctional Probation Supervisor at the Gainesville Main Probation and Parole Office. The incumbent directs probation staff, oversees investigations and supervision, and ensures compliance with Florida statutes and departmental procedures.

Responsibilities include workload management, field supervision, reporting, and staff development. A bachelor’s degree and Florida statutes certification are required, with veteran preference considerations and promotion

Knowledge of regulations governing probation supervision and corrections.

Responsibilities

Direct and supervise correctional probation officers and senior officers.
Monitor daily activities to ensure investigative and supervision services are provided per rules.
Review and approve investigations, reports, court orders, and data entries for accuracy and policy.
Distribute workloads and supervise field supervision compliance and safety procedures.
Evaluate staff performance, conduct training, and ensure mandated training requirements are met.
Maintain liaison with judiciary, prosecutors, law enforcement, and other agencies.
