Job summary

The Ministry of Justice is seeking Probation Services Officers to join the National Probation Service. You will work with medium and lower risk offenders, manage caseloads, assess risks, provide information to courts, and collaborate with agencies across the justice system.

Qualifications

• Full range of work with people on probation including assessment, sentence implementation, offender management and producing reports.
• Ability to produce clear and accurate reports to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of offenders before and after sentence.
• Assess and manage risks, provide information to courts, and work with agencies throughout the justice system.
• Support offenders with practical guidance on housing and employment and empathetic listening.
