Qualifications

• Four or more years of experience as a Probation & Parole Assistant, Correctional Officer, or Office Support Assistant within the Missouri Department of Corrections.
• OR Four or more years of vocational/paraprofessional experience in social services, probation/parole, corrections, law enforcement, counseling, health, or related fields, with a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and assesses offender environments to determine supervision strategies.
• Contacts offenders at home or work and counsels on personal/adjustment issues; attends court when needed.
• Assists in planning vocational/educational/social adjustment for offenders; coordinates with agencies.
• Prepares statistical reports and participates in investigations and special projects.
• Possession of a valid vehicle operator’s license; safety training requirements.
