Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid vehicle operator's license.
• Ability to pass a background investigation by the Missouri Department of Corrections.
• Willingness to complete mandatory safety training including firearms/CPR/First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Supervises offenders in housing units and oversees activities in Community Supervision Centers.
• Checks offenders and inspects housing units for safety and security.
• Interview offenders to gather information on background and records; maintain records of investigative findings.
• Accesses NCIC, MULES, and state databases; responds to warrants and updates offender status.
• Photographs and issues offender ID cards; assists with job search and scheduling changes for offenders on electronic monitoring.
• Maintain databases/shift records; troubleshoot equipment; log emergency calls and coordinate with staff.
• Assist in escorts, transport, and movement of offenders; monitor medications; participate in rehabilitation efforts.
