Job summary

Qualifications

• Four or more years of experience in Probation & Parole, Correctional Officer, or Office Support within the Missouri Department of Corrections.
• Possession of a valid vehicle operator's license.
• Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience (30 credit hours = 1 year).

Responsibilities

• Investigates offenders' home, work, and social environments; compiles data and prepares reports for courts and parole boards.
• Counsels offenders in personal/adjustment issues; attends court and submits reports as required.
• Assists in vocational, educational, and social adjustment planning; coordinates with public/private agencies and law enforcement.
• Prepares statistical reports and assists in investigations and special projects; accepts increasing supervision with experience.
• Possesses a valid driver's license and maintains safety training and re-qualification.
