atCause Law is looking for a professional, dedicated but Non-Stuffy litigation attorney to add to our non-stuffy team. This pivotal role spearheads our litigation services and will be involved in representing clients in complex probate disputes, ensuring their interests are protected with compassion and expertise. At atCause Law, you will play a critical part in guiding clients through emotionally challenging legal processes, securing fair outcomes in matters of estate administration, will contests, and trust disputes. Your work will directly impact our clients by providing clarity and resolution, while upholding our firm’s commitment to advocacy, integrity, and personalized service, while staying very approachable for our clients.

What you will be responsible for
  • Represent clients in probate litigation cases, including will contests, trust disputes, and estate administration conflicts.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and arguments.
  • Draft and file legal documents, such as petitions, motions, and briefs, with probate courts.
  • Advocate for clients in court hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide compassionate, clear legal guidance.
  • Work with estate administrators, executors, and other parties to resolve disputes efficiently.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of probate laws, regulations, and local court procedures.
  • Coordinate with expert witnesses, such as forensic accountants or appraisers, to strengthen case arguments.
Requirements

Who you are

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Florida and in good standing with the state bar.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in probate litigation, estate planning, or trust and estate disputes.
  • Strong knowledge of probate laws, court procedures, and estate administration processes.
  • Proven ability to manage complex litigation cases, including drafting legal documents and representing clients in court.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for client interactions and courtroom advocacy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • This role starts at a between $115,000 - $125,000 per year.
  • PTO and sick days after 90 days.
