Job summary

Detroit Engineered Products is seeking an Early Warning Detection Investigator to perform comprehensive preliminary reviews of proactive sensing product alerts related to vehicle safety and compliance.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product scope, document findings, and recommend escalation or closure actions with clear rationale. The role emphasizes analytics, data preparation, and concise reporting to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative discipline or equivalent experience.
• ABET-accredited Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree considered.
• Experience with large, complex datasets from multiple sources.
• Ability to identify trends and summarize findings clearly.
• Proficiency with reporting, data analysis, and visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preliminary technical reviews on proactive sensing product alerts related to vehicle safety and compliance.
• Lead cross-functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Service, Product Investigations) as needed.
• Document technical review information with sufficient detail and clarity; recommend escalation or closure actions.
• Provide frequent status reports to Product Investigators and management.
• Offer recommendations to IT regarding predictive analytics logic and visualization improvements.
