Job summary

Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group is seeking a Stage Manager to support Artistic teams on the show in the United States. The role partners with the General Stage Manager and Technical Director to ensure smooth operations and preserve artistic integrity.

The ideal candidate will be organized, an excellent communicator, and able to manage rehearsals, safety procedures, and backstage operations, including calling cues and the show when required.

Qualifications

• College diploma or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• At least three years of previous relevant experience.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Working knowledge of MS Office.
• Availability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Verification of the right to work in the United States (Form I-9).
• Ability to pass a swim test.
• First Aid/CPR training is an asset.
• Understanding and ability to navigate network applications.
• Multicultural experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Artists and Artistic staff.
• Act as liaison between Artistic and Technical staff.
• Manage integration of new Artists into production.
• Enforce production rules, policies and procedures; apply discipline when appropriate.
• Assist in safety procedures and emergency measures.
• Manage rehearsals and training sessions as assigned.
• Ensure equipment is in place and working for rehearsals and trainings.
• Call technical cues for trainings.
• Prepare show lineup and communicate changes to departments.
• Manage backstage areas during show and call the show when required.
• Maintain the show's records and procedures.
• Assist in long- and short-term scheduling and archival recordings.
• Complete any other duties as assigned.
