Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced engineering leader to manage a high-performing team of software developers, security engineers, and TPMs in the Proactive Security organization. You will set the technical vision for the Preventive Plugin Platform, align with cross-functional partners, and drive adoption of secure, scalable tooling across Amazon devices and services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience.
• 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience.
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

Responsibilities

• You will manage and mentor a high performing team of Software Development Engineers, Security Engineers and Technical Program Managers.
• You will define and drive the technical vision and roadmap for our Preventive Plugin Platform and experimental tooling workstream, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align on requirements and priorities.
• You will review architecture design and oversee software development of highly scalable systems.
• You will communicate technical concepts, project status, and risk assessments to stakeholders at all levels, both technical and non-technical.
• You will ensure that security is integrated throughout the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and promote continuous innovation to enhance the security, performance, and scalability of our cloud-based solutions.
