Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Manager for Proactive Security to lead a team responsible for building preventive tooling and secure software foundations across devices. You will mentor engineers, define roadmaps, review architectures, and drive adoption of security guidance across Amazon Devices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams.
• 3+ years of designing or architecting multi‑tier web systems.
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi‑tier web services.
• Knowledge of the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a high performing team of Software Development Engineers, Security Engineers and Technical Program Managers.
• Define and drive the technical vision and roadmap for our Preventive Plugin Platform and experimental tooling workstream.
• Review architecture design and oversee software development of highly scalable systems.
• Communicate technical concepts, project status, and risk assessments to stakeholders at all levels.
• Ensure security is integrated throughout the software development lifecycle and promote continuous innovation.
