Job summary

Rural King is looking for a Maintenance Associate to keep the store environment clean, safe, and organized. The role covers routine cleaning, basic repairs, safety tasks, and upkeep of the store and surrounding areas.

The position supports unloading, stocking, and general store activities, with a focus on customer and associate assistance and a willingness to participate in cross-training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull 30 pounds repetitively and 31–50 pounds intermittently.
• Ability to navigate and access all areas of the store and related facilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and associates.
• Close vision required for computer-related activities.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain store safety and cleanliness, including floors, restrooms, breakrooms, fixtures, displays, parking lots and exterior areas; operate a floor scrubber; empty trash; restock supplies.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs, such as changing light bulbs and minor plumbing issues.
• Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance needs, and malfunctioning equipment.
• Unload trucks, stock, zone, and assist store activities as needed.
• Provide friendly and professional support to customers and associates.
• Participate in cross-training and required learning opportunities.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
