Qualifications

• Requires 2 years of proven retail sales, call center, customer service or telesales experience.
• Or 1 year of proven proactive sales experience with a high school diploma.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service.
• Well-organized with time management and prioritization skills.
• Demonstrated financial services product knowledge.
• Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy to internal and external customers.
• Proficient with internet user-level technology.

Responsibilities

• Play key role in Relationship Management and Sales Process in the branch.
• Complete basic customer research to identify value-added opportunities.
• Identify financial needs and present product/service options with internal partners.
• Proactively reach out to clients to educate on value-added products/services.
• Onboard new customers through outreach and open accounts.
• Establish trust with existing clients through regular proactive outreach.
• Schedule and prepare for appointments for upcoming weeks.
• Prepare for scheduled appointments with pre-call planning.
• Perform customer servicing interactions and follow-up.
• Adhere to compliance and risk controls per policies.
• Promote a welcoming environment aligned with the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain internal controls and address audit findings.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.
